I loved this book. Very deep truths touched upon here if only you open your eyes wide enough to see them. I will read this again.
I love The writings of Horatius Bonar. This is one of his best! He is able to explain what it means to follow Jesus every day. He shows us what it means to take up our cross daily and he point you to the simplicity that is in Christ. This is very encouraging and helpful book and I highly recommend it.
I enjoyed reading this book. The author had a clear concept of salvation being only by accepting the sacrifice Christ made for us when he died on the cross. He has good advice about how to live the Christian life.
If you are a serious Christian, this is a wonderful directive to study and read with full savor and some notetaking. The writing old style ( no examples) and but the advice is timeless and I found the author's counsel endearing even though it's intent was to exhort! It is book to stretch my spiritual muscle. The advice contained within for me as a Christ follower is solid and substantial This is a book to own. I have in in the version and plan to buy the book for my library.
